Questions we get every week
Do I need a whole new roof, or just a repair?
More often a repair than the industry admits. Most leaks we find are flashing, valley metal or a penetration, not failed shingles. If the field of the roof has life left we will tell you, and we will show you the photographs either way.
Will you handle the insurance claim?
We will meet the adjuster on the roof and document everything, which is where claims are usually won or lost. We will not inflate a claim or waive your deductible — both are fraud, and both are common enough in this trade that it is worth saying plainly.
How long does a replacement take?
One to two days for most houses, weather allowing. Mountain roofs with a lot of valley and a steep pitch take longer, and we will say so before you sign rather than discovering it halfway.
What does the warranty actually cover?
Fifty years on our workmanship, transferable once, plus whatever the manufacturer covers on the material. Workmanship is the one that matters — the vast majority of roof failures are installation, not product.
Is there a right season to replace a roof?
Spring and autumn are easiest. Asphalt needs some warmth to seal properly, so deep winter installs need care, and we will not rush one just to book the work.
Stain on the ceiling?
Call (828) 555-0143. Inspections are free and we will tell you if it can wait.
